A Holistic Path To Trauma Treatment

At our residential treatment center, we believe in treating the whole person - mind, body and spirit. Through utilizing a holistic approach to trauma treatment, we ensure that every aspect of your experience with us promotes healing and wellness. One way we achieve this is by using the healing powers of yoga and meditation.

Our clients practice the use of pranayama and asana teachings and techniques to help invigorate the mind and body, allowing for a deeper connection to the self and the flow of the breath. This helps the client take the journey from awareness to release, further helping the client on their path to healing.

We focus on the space between stimulus and response in order to find and practice peace. This is achieved through the theory of sthira and sukha, or strength and light, which promotes wisdom and balance.

When we focus our attention on treating the whole body through healthy meals and meditation, we can stimulate and create room for your body to heal entirely.

Benefits of Meditation & Yoga Therapy

Clinical research has shown that holistic therapies such as yoga and meditation are complementary approaches in the treatment of PTSD. When practiced in adjunct to psychotherapies, the benefits for the client can become ten-fold.

Some of the benefits of these two practices include:

  • Improved self-confidence
  • Mental clarity & calmness
  • Increased body awareness
  • Relief from chronic stress patterns
  • Acceptance & compassion towards self

“Innova Grace was like a therapy boot camp because of the deep immersion of personal work needing to be done to change your life for the better. Through the support of the staff and fellow trauma survivors, I was able to start healing so that I could move forward by learning how to continue growing through the ups and downs of life. I don’t think I would be in recovery now if it wasn’t for the strength Innova Grace gave me."
